Thank you, Volunteer Heroes!

Young Volunteer Campaign
FUSSBALLHELDEN - educational trip
With the funding project “100 silent heroes - youth coach of the year” KOMM MIT set a powerful signal between 2013 and 2015. This nationwide campaign, supported by numerous media partners and institutions, honored the 100 most dedicated trainers from all over Germany every year. They were invited to a five-day educational trip to Spain — a heartfelt “thank you” for their valuable work. On site, these “silent heroes” were given the opportunity to learn and motivate each other in inspiring workshops.
In 2015, the “silent heroes” became part of the DFB volunteer campaign and have since been called”SOCCER HEROES - Young Volunteering Campaign“continued.

Instead of the 100 volunteers selected by KOMM MIT, one dedicated trainer, youth leader, referee or club official from around 265 soccer circles in Germany is now being proposed by the district honorary representative.
The winners can expect a five-day educational trip to Santa Susanna, Spain, which not only serves personal development but also strengthens the network of participants.
KOMM MIT organizes this educational trip as a DFB cooperation partner in the area of recognition culture.
The participants and their clubs benefit enormously from continuing education, because the SOCCER HEROES are returning with fresh knowledge and new impulses.
Qualified speakers from the DFB design the theory and practical workshops, and a special highlight is a visit to the legendary Camp Nou, the soccer temple of FC Barcelona.
This initiative honors volunteer work in youth soccer and strengthens the basis of soccer in Germany.
Together, we are shaping the future of soccer and promoting the passion and commitment of young volunteers!
The FUSSBALLHELDEN education trip is a central part of the DFB master plan and the largest volunteer funding in German sport.
